Availability: You can book this venue for your exclusive use. This venue is available between 6am and sunset on Saturdays and Sundays. This venue cannot be booked on weekdays.

Getting there
 
Parking: Vehicle access for up to five cars is permitted. The hirer must provide the gate opening times at least seven days prior to the date of the function. On-street parking is available on Greycliffe Avenue. Parking is only permitted in marked spaces, and spaces cannot be reserved for guests. Visitors will be fined for parking or driving in non-designated areas.

Conditions
 
The following is permitted for events at this venue:
  • Tents/marquees - weighted free-standing structures are permitted on the upper terrace. The maximum dimensions for a marquee are 10m x 10m.
  • Alcohol - for toasting only and must not be red or fortified wine.
  • Non-amplified music
The following is not permitted for events at this venue:
  • Commercial caterers
  • Amplified/loud music and public address systems
  • Dancing
  • Candles or other open flames
  • Confetti, rice, petals or similar
  • Domestic animals or pets
  • Vines and other exotic plant material
  • Roping off areas or signage indicating an exclusive event
Other conditions: When in force, total fire bans apply to events held at this venue. Dumping of ice or iced water on grassed areas is not permitted. Any chairs must have continuous legs so as not to pierce the turf. Vehicle access to Greycliffe House must be maintained at all times. All rubbish must be removed at the conclusion of the event. NPWS staff will be present at every function and the hirer, their employees and guests must comply with staff directions.
 
Bookings, payments and refunds
 
Bookings are essential. Please complete an application form. If application is approved, payment is required within seven days. In lieu of a security desposit, the NPWS reserves the right to charge hirers after the event for any damage caused to the venue, or failure to comply with conditions specified in the consent. In the event of cancellation due to poor weather an application fee of $110 will be retained by the NPWS. The balance of the consent fee is refundable.

Will there be other wedding ceremonies occuring at the same time as mine?
 
There may be another ceremony in another area of the park on the same day, however we will not book two ceremonies for the same area and time.
 
Can I reserve car parking spaces for my guests?
 
No - parking is available only on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that parking around this part of Sydney Harbour National Park is managed by Woollahra Municipal Council.
 
Can I ask people to move if they are in the location where I wish to hold my wedding?
 
You may ask people to move, but be aware that they are not obliged to do so.
 
Can I hold my wedding ceremony on the beach?
 
As Nielsen Park is a public park and very popular with visitors, we do not permit wedding ceremonies on the beach.
 
Can I hang fairy lights, signage, balloons or other decorations in the trees?
 
As the area is located within a conservation reserve, this is not permitted.
 
Can I start setting up before the hire time?
